Welcome to the
End of the Road Ranch!
We are beteen the Big Qualicum river and Spider
lake. Providing a home to pigs, chickens and goats.
The name was chosen for being located at the end of Thorpe Rd South,
and because it is easy to remember.
Please feel free to wander about the website. It was made
in as simple a fashion as possible.

About the Ranch
Please forgive the rambling below, it is necessary to make the search
engines work effectively.
The ranch works with local provincially
licensed butchers to produce Rare Heritage Breed, Free Range, Heirloom
Artisan pork meat products to help people fill part of their 100 mile
diet (or Paleo diet) in communities like Qualicum, Lighthouse Country,
Bowser, Whiskey Creek, French Creek, Ladysmith, Parksville, Nanaimo,
Courtenay, Comox, Port Alberni, or Cumberland on Vancouver Island on
the west coast of Canada. You might buy pork shoulder,
picnic,
cushion, Boston Butt, blade steak, leg, ham, loin, baby back ribs,
tenderloin, pork belly, spare ribs, secret, jowel, collar, neck, hocks,
cracklin, caul fat, lace fat, leaf lard for pastry, sausage, bacon, ham
and all sorts of Charcuterie.
The Organic name has
become very difficult to use without undergoing a expensive and time
consuming bureaucratic process so one of my neighbours uses the term
More-ganic. The farm isn't organic certified, but we garden
naked
with no applied herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
If
the keywords have worked and you have arrived here as a result of an
internet search, then please read about the Large
Black Pigs and order some really good pork.
